We’re adding support for badge data within Tango Occupancy Analytics, enabling customers to leverage existing access control systems to measure space utilisation.

Badge data provides a fast and reliable way to understand occupancy patterns without requiring sensors or network integrations. The platform now automatically ingests, processes, and visualises badge entries to show daily utilisation trends across buildings.

Introducing: Floor filter for Spaces

You can now filter Space Sets by floor, giving you a more focused view of neighborhood utilization and activity. Selecting a floor updates the Spaces list, KPIs, and visualizations — including floor maps, timelines, and weekly patterns — to show only the data for that specific floor. When no floor is selected, you’ll see all floors, just like before.

Introducing: seat metrics at floor level

We are excited to introduce new seat-based utilisation metrics at the floor level within Locatee. This innovative data dimension provides deeper and more realistic insights into the utilisation of large spaces, such as meeting rooms and collaboration areas, without the need for sensors.

Our long-term strategy is to transition from space-based to seat-based utilisation metrics across the entire product.

Seat metrics display utilisation based on the number of devices detected in a given zone, instead of counting occupied space polygons. This approach offers much more accurate insights into utilisation density.

In Spaces mode, you can open the floor map to view seat utilisation either for the entire floor or within specific zones. Use the Space Type Filter to switch between desks or all seats.

Introducing Desk Sharing Ratio Metrics

We are excited to introduce a new feature that helps you compare your planned and actual desk sharing ratios, providing insights into the efficiency of your flexible desk policy. In the Building Overview, when in Spaces mode and the space type filter is set to Desks, you can now see sharing ratio metrics: Planned People/Desk, and Actual People/Desk. The sharing ratio metrics include a tooltip explaining the ratio between seating capacity and target (for planned) or peak (for actual) desk utilization.

By understanding these metrics, you can make informed decisions to optimize space usage and improve workplace productivity. We hope you find this feature valuable and look forward to your feedback!

With Smart Signage mobile*, your teams can effortlessly check the availability of space on their way to the office or from anywhere. 

This feature allows employees and workplace leaders to see the number of people currently in the building, how busy each floor is, and locate work zones with available seats. It’s an excellent tool to help your team plan their workday and ensure that they can find a workspace that suits their needs.
